Art from the Heart

A Celebration of Black Joy, Healing, & Creativity

Art From the Heart is a regular series of community processing nights led by Black women artists, leaders, and mental health practitioners. These unique workshops combine the power of art and movement therapy to create joyful, healing spaces for Black families and allies across Waterloo Region.

At the heart of this initiative is our commitment to building accessible, anti-racist spaces in our community through Black joy, cultural expression, and collective healing. In collaboration with artists and registered psychological experts, Art From the Heart offers meaningful opportunities for connection and care.

These gatherings are more than just art nights—they’re opportunities to connect, heal, move, and play together in safe and affirming spaces.

Join us in building a stronger, more joyful community—from the heart.
