Emancipation Day Celebration 2026

Join Rhythm & Blues Cambridge for our annual Emancipation Day Celebration. This will be a vibrant day of culture, community, music, and freedom as we honour the legacy of Emancipation while celebrating the richness and diversity of Black culture.

Enjoy an unforgettable lineup of live entertainment featuring artists and performers from across Canada, including Tony Anthony, an internationally recognized reggae singer, songwriter, and producer known for his soulful vocals, chart-topping hits, and music that blends love, life experiences, and uplifting messages; JUNO Award winner Elaine Shepherd, also known as “Lil’Bit,” whose genre-blending reggae sound explores themes of empowerment, emotional healing, identity, and personal transformation; Kairo McLean, a two-time JUNO Award-winning reggae artist and one of Canada’s youngest voices in the genre, known for his socially conscious lyrics, messages of courage, and songs that inspire youth and positive change; Corden Barrett, a gifted musician and performer bringing soulful Caribbean rhythms; and our headline band Rayzalution, Canada’s all-female reggae band, celebrated for their dynamic performances, powerful musicianship, and music that promotes unity, positivity, and Caribbean cultural pride.

Experience the vibrant cultural performances of the Junkanoo Legends Dancers, the energetic Revellers Dancers, talented local poets, and many more performers throughout the day.
